FlashMoto Review | Flash CMS
If you have ever used WordPress as a CMS, then I am sure you are going to love this new flash CMS that is Flashmoto. Flashmoto is your ideal solution for building your own flash sites without having much knowledge of coding, or buying the expensive Adobe Flash application to build your site. I am extremely excited today as I was chosen to test drive Flashmoto. In this Flashmoto review, I will state my honest opinion on the program, and also give some positive and negative features of this CMS.
Introduction
If you are unfamiliar with flash based websites, they are visually beautiful, and create a rich-filled experience for a visitor. Examples of companies using flash based websites include Sony, CarlsJr , Hbo, etc. After purchasing your Flashmoto license, or trying out the demo, you will be impressed by the simplicity of using Flashmoto. It is suited for beginners and experts alike to create your own flash-based websites, because of their extensive customization features. You do not need to worry about code, and instead drag and drop features you want, which color you want for your texture, or what videos you want to appear on your homepage.
Features
Some features I will briefly mention show how robust and simple Flashmoto is.
-No installation required! ( Update the files and your ready to go) Not even wordpress is that simple, although it is just a 5 minute install!
-WYSIWYG Editor ( A convenient WYSIWYG Editor gives you an ability to visualize what you are producing. )
-Video, MP3 players Component ( You can easily embed videos on your site, and also play its own music)
-SEO optimized ( Although flash sites are notoriously criticized in many blogs and forums or not ranking well in search engines, Flashmoto has a built in SEO feature that will help you rank in search engines better)
-Custom modules and widgets integration ( Modules allow you to customize your website visually, adding content boxes and other elements anywhere on your site)
When first setting up and configuring your site, you will be greeted by a very friendly admin panel, and a help page that link to very comprehensive and useful tutorials on making your first website. To the left of your admin panel is the basic features you can attempt to add toy our site, and on the left is where your sites really begins to take form. You can customize your site in every way possible without coding, changing the font, and position on the page, to the effects of the element. You can double click an item to get more options on customizing. They also having a fabulous image and video manger, where you can easily upload new photos and videos toy our site.
If you are having difficulty in creating your site, or do not have the time or motivation to create your own site, they have a variety of ready made Flash CMS templates that will allow you to create your site that faster. The templates are allow 100% customizable, and are each uniquely stunning. They have a section on their site , Flash Templates, where they have a variety of themes, from $100-250 range.
Conclusion
Flashmoto is a very comprehensive and feature filled flash CMS. Although I personally am not a fan of creating flash websites, this would be the program I would use to create my own, with their easy to use admin panel, and amazing amounts of customizable options. Flashmoto designed and created a user friendly website builder, that even a newbie can pick up this product and begin learning to create his own site. Some improvements for this flash cms could include offering more competitive prices, as it is $200 for one license for one domain. If you have a lot of projects that you want to create using a flash cms, this is going to put you in the whole for a lot of money. Just don’t get this !…
I bought it, I spent hours trying to install it on my website, finally it got stuck in the end and there is absolutely no tech support …

Hi – I’ve spent about five hours on the phone with my hosting service trying to get FlashMoto to work. I’ve submitted four detailed request for assistance through there support system. No answers! I’ve had FlashMoto five days and I’m tired of messing with this software. I’m requesting a refund. STAY AWAY FROM FLASHMOTO!!
just want to say that flashmoto is a great flash cms and fantastic product to setup and manage a website. The main problem they have is hosting requirements and installation procedure. So companies like siteground or happyat started to sell special hosting packages for flashmoto like http://www.happyat.net/flashmoto.php
But still FlashMoto is the best solution to make your website in Flash.

Guys, I don’t know what you are talking about. I have FlashMoto based website created by a flash developer for me. And I must admit, this Flash CMS is really perfect and feature-rich. I don’t know Flash at all but still update my website with no efforts.

FlashMoto is something Flash developers community was lacking before! It is an awesome revolutionary software. I made my choice in favor of FlashMoto and I’m happy with it.
For the love of God, DO NOT use Flash Moto. I loved the site template when I found it. It’s easy to use and looks great. BUT THEN CONES CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I have never in over 45 years of life experienced anything so screamingly bad.
I just spent 60 minutes on a chat, was disconnected 3 times and received no help. Then I want to the phone Another 37 minutes. 2 hang ups, constant waiting, and then the guy on the other end who barely, and I am not kidding, barely spoke English offered me this advice: YOU have to submit a ticket. He wouldn’t do it for me, I had to do it.
I’m really serious here. Do you guys just take the money and laugh? Do you take it out for beers or lunch and giggle at how you take people’s money and offer nothing in return?
I love the site. My customers love the site. I find it easy to use WHEN IT WORKS and morons on the other end of the line don’t blame me for adding something that isn’t supposed to be in the template.
Here’s the deal. I am the customer. You are the company. You take my money and provide a service. A quality service. Not a joke.
I know without a doubt this ticket I inserted will take at least 2 days, maybe 5 like the last one. My site is inoperative without menus and I lose money every day.

I just bought a flashmoto cms tempate. what a nightmare to install. it did not take me 5 minutes to install, but rather 4 days. now that it is installed, the Arial font is buggy and when i type a lower case “w” there is an additional space. i too tried to contact the online support desk the asked me to submit a ticket. 12 hours later, no response. they should improve their support and make sure the product is free of bugs before releasing it. the template looks nice, but only if you’re just glancing at the photos and flash- forget about it if you’re trying to get people to read the content…

FlashMoto templates are too creative as well as superb. But at the installation time I was facing a lot of problems. Please resolve………
Flash website templates are too creative.
I’ve used FlashMoto on several sites, and had several issues with install, some of which required my own hand at coding in order to get them to work properly. Not what you want with a $200+ template…
Plus, they claim that they are SEO-friendly, but every site I’ve created with FlashMoto has absolutely disappeared from search engines. Not just lowered in ranking – DISAPPEARED! I’ve run Google Web Master tools on the sites and found that some of their copyright protection measures stop search engines from crawling the sites.
To wrap up, their service is very quick to respond (usually 24 hours), but they don’t know their own product, half-try to help, and typically just refer you to links that they have on their support site.
Honestly, I’m sorry I used their product – but at least I won’t make the mistake again.
I purchased a flashmoto template back in June to have a more creative site! Its still not totally up and running. They have you on hold for sooooo long, its a shame! Unreal. My husband doesn’t wnat to call again..because he knows he will never get a rep on the line. I’m so pissed cause I can’t refer my clients to my site…it sucks! I just wasted money!

I’ve just finished reading all the above comments. I was going to purchase this, but after reading I’ve changed my mind. To me, a web n00b, access to good customer support is crucial and I really don’t like what I am hearing. Hopefully the company will do the right thing and restore some integrity to themselves and their product.
My husband and I are building our wedding website. We tried a lot of content management systems, but couldn’t find anything better than Moto CMS (Flashmoto). We have purchased a template with an amazing gallery and spent a couple of hours choosing and uploading photos to our website.
I a complete newby in this field, but moto cms helped me to build a professional website.

I have uploaded a flash template on my server and i am trying to build my website from there. For adding media in cms moto there is a limit of 2 Mb per file transport. For uploading mp3 i used an ftp uploader to upload the music on my server an then use it from my cms moto. However for uploading pictures this option seems to be problematic. Would you please help me upload hq pictures on my website!

Don’t know about the customer support, only had the package for a couple of days. So far I’ve been able to make several modifications, and things are looking good. Making a lot of progress so far, and have high expectations.
A big headache to get installed on the provider this company suggested wen the template was purchased. The hosting company was quick to provide a refund but MotoCMS was not as agreeable. Even though the template was purchased and a refund requested within 48 hoursm no deal. The template control panel requires a licensed be accepted by the company, no refund was available. The support does appear to be lacking. Would not suggest this template manufacturer be used.
