The use of wireless internet technology is on the rise and there is no arguing that, especially with revolutionary gadgets like smartphones and tablets available on the market. More and more people are using their tablets or smart phones to visit websites. In fact, according to one study, more people expect websites to work as well on a mobile device as their computers, but more than half of them have problems.

Slow loading is the most common problem, along with not being able to see everything a site has to offer properly. What is more significant is the fact that roughly half of the people searching websites will abandon the search if it takes more than three seconds to load and will not bother to return. With the constant advancement and ease of use of mobile technology, the number of mobile users is only going to go up, and the need for a good mobile friendly experience has become more important.

Below you will find a rundown of some lesser-known Wordpress theme shops and some of my initial thoughts on the quality and pricing they offer. I thought it would be nice to have a resource such as this to refer to when looking for a new theme. We all know of Theme Forest, WooThemes, and the like, but what about the up-and-comers and smaller shops? So many design firms are releasing such incredible work, it would be a shame to neglect them.

A theme framework is a set of building blocks that make theme development easier and dramatically speeds up development time by providing the core structure (or framework) needed by a theme. Frameworks typically provide all necessary layouts, template files, functions, and more, leaving little but the styling to the developer (or designer).

E-commerce solutions for Wordpress are becoming more and more common, but what products out there are any good? Some can be incredibly frustrating to use (OK, almost all of them…), but most do deliver a workable result if you give it enough effort.

As someone with experience in e-commerce, I tend to shy away from using Wordpress for storefronts in general, but there are some cases where it can really be useful. Below you will find my thoughts on each of the products I have used and if I think they deserve your consideration.
